All McMaster University employees on payroll need the card to both identify themselves as part of the campus community and to gain access to secured areas.

How to deactivate/reactivate your McMaster Employee ID card

If your card is lost or stolen, contact Security Services dispatcher immediately at ext. 24281 and have your door access deactivated. You are responsible for any access gained with your card. The dispatch center is open 24/7.

To deactivate the financial portion of your card, you can login to your OneWeb account and or report it immediately to maccard@mcmaster.ca.

How to Activate Your Retail Operations Balance

After obtaining your McMaster Employee ID Card from Security Services, you can take it to the MacExpress Centre in the Commons Building (room 115) to activate the financial portion of the card.

Deposit Options

CREDIT or VISA/MASTERCARD DEBIT: Add value to your account ONLINE NOW using your Visa/Mastercard debit or credit card.

  • Funds can be added instantly.
  • These funds can be used at any ID Card participating partner.
  • Unused funds will stay with your account the entire time you’re an employee.

How to Add Money to your McMaster ID Card (44 seconds)

IN-PERSON DEPOSITS: You can also deposit to your account in person at the MacExpress Office. Accepted payment methods are debit or credit. Deposits made at MacExpress will instantly be applied to your ID Card account.
